Video Collaborations

Video collaborations by Claire and Sean Carton. More are available from the Merrymount Arts Ccouncil YouTube channel and the Ccouncil’s website.

And no, “Ccouncil” is not misspelled. The extra “C” is for “cool,” although some say “culture.”

Should-Have-Been TV

The 80s were a weird time for television, with a lot of high-concept shows shot badly and plenty of horrible sitcoms filmed in front of live studio audiences on sets that couldn’t get over the fact that they weren’t on stage anymore. Here are some shows we thought should have been made. Contact me if you’d like a pilot script.

Teen Beat A-Go-Go

Claire remixed some tracks from a long-forgotten Baltimore band released on the “Baltimore Teen Beat A-Go-Go” compilation. Our band SPRONG! performs the result here early on a hot Sunday morning in the hidden corners under Route 83 and PennStation.

How the West Was Won

The true story of how the West was won. I wrote the lyrics, Claire wrote the music, she and I sung it, she edited the video and made all the minatures featured in it, and an AI image generator filled in the blanks. Archival footage from Archive.org.
